Food Sources of Antioxidant: Breakfast Cereals
Cereal grains are good sources of antioxidants. Most of the antioxidants in cereal grains are contained in the bran and germ. For instance, for the cereal products in the table below, whole-grain-wheat- and oat-based products had on average higher antioxidant content than products from refined rice or corn ingredients. Regardless, all breakfast cereals are good sources of antioxidants, comparable to common fruits and vegetables.
